Part 1: Formulating a problem, elaborating research questions, debating with chairmen and officials, looking up questionnaires, deciding on research techniques, giving advice with regard to questionnaires for the annual fair and the global participation in Balen.
Part 2: debating with chairmen and officials, developing online questionnaires, advice with regard to introduction research amongst inhabitants, reproducing results of the online questionnaires.

The national expert did the following task: write an analytical report on protection order legislation in Belgium, based upon analyses of literature and documents.

(Cyber)stalking II. Research on victimisation, offending and help-seeking behaviour among students in higher education.
A lot of people are victims of stalking. Escpecially among students , the percentages are relatively high. The new media, which are mainly actively used by students, certainly play a part in this. At the moment not a lot is known about the characteristics of students who are victims or who stalk someone. There is also no clear picture how big the part is of electronic communication among students. Howerver, this is important to start up suitable guidance. In this study we look for the characteristics of the victim and the offender in (cyber) stalking and help-seeking behaviour. The research group consists of students from various degree courses of Thomas More. It is also investigated what a good approach is and a plan is developed by a steering committee of students, teachers and researchers.
