Honour related violence

By order of Steunpunt Algemeen Welzijnswerk (Support for General Social Work), the non-profit organisation Zijn and Instituut voor de Gelijkheid van Vrouwen en Mannen (Institute for the Equality of Women and Men), APART is developing a risk assessment instrument for social workers regarding honour related violence. This instrument is supposed to help professional social workers to assess situations concerning honour related  violence. It can support social workers in taking decisions on the subject of, among other thins, safety, children's safety, caring and mediation. The instrument is being developed on the basis of a literary study, a comparison of existing international instruments on the area of honour related violence and focus group discussions with social workers.
